I was really excited to continue the success of my recent PrintSpace workshop in August, to running further sessions at my favourite art shop CASS ART in Islington London this September.  Continuing with the promotion of experimentation through mixed media, this time the theme taking shape of fashion illustration.

The two hour session began with looking at a set of processes and decisions when creating a multi layered illustration. The materials promoted in the first of the two workshops were the Liquitex Acrylic Inks and Letraset Brush Pens.  The second workshop we looked at using Liquitex Markers.  My role was to guide the group in encouraging them to move away from their normal ways of working and build confidence in new forms of expression, implementing different materials and processes.

It was a great surprise to learn that most of the class were not formally trained. One lady being an accountant, another a science teacher, with only one in the class a fashion illustration student.  It was great to see the work develop over the two hour sessions and appreciate how much everyone enjoyed the classes. I can’t wait to do more!  If you are interested in getting involved please keep checking in on my Twitter and Facebook pages for the next dates coming soon! Yay.
