From understanding form and structure, rules of symmetry and shape - your building and learning from your line work as you develop.

Drawing isn't so much the placing of pencil onto paper, it's about training the way you are looking at your subject. We are recording what we see but we're developing how we see it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Using layers is so helpful when creating the portrait. We can isolate parts of face, to interrogate our recordings better than on paper.

I love digital art - it not only eliminates the white page intimidation, the flow is increased and there are so many more options to work with. All that without the mess.
